Welcome to Eastfield
Hello and welcome to the Eastfield Residents Association website. We are proud of where we live, and we want residents and visitors to enjoy their time here. By clicking on the tabs above and the links below you can discover what’s happening in and around the town as well as learning what the Residents Association is doing.
The Residents Association team first suggested the community park idea a couple of years ago which has now led to a separate charity being set up under Phoenix Community Park charity number 1213689 (see the Residents Association meetings page of this site for the completed feasibility study). We also work with the Town Council and North Yorkshire Council in developing local events like the Summer and Christmas fairs as well as getting involved in local projects like the High Street development.
If you’d like to know more come along to one of our meetings which are held at 6.30pm every second Thursday of the month in the Russett Room, Legacy Studio, Overdale School, Ashmead Square (the lime green building attached to the school) or you can contact us on Facebook, speak to one of our members or use the contact form on the Residents Association section of this site.
Finally, thanks to our supporters at Anglo American for generously funding this site and Keep Digital for the site development and enthusiastic support.

We’re on a mission to provide Eastfield with a dedicated community skatepark!
Back in 2022, we surveyed our town about building a skate park, and the response was incredible. Parents highlighted the lack of activities for youngsters, while the youth clamoured for a space to learn scooter and skateboard tricks, make friends, and just have fun. Since then, we've spoken to lots of people, looked for the best site, and partnered with supporters. It's been about pitching ideas, securing funds, and navigating bureaucracy. With grit and determination, local support, and proof of its positive impact on youth engagement and curbing antisocial behaviour, we're committed to making this dream a reality.
See the Residents Association page of this site to see the latest update and the feasibility study on the skate park which will now be part of a much bigger community park project!!!

The Resident’s Association
At the heart of your community
Back in January 2022, a few local residents along with the help of the PACT Regeneration Team got together to talk about what we wanted for Eastfield and how we could make it happen and it was decided to set up a residents association. From there, we organised meetings, got more people involved, started applying for funding and making positive changes, like supporting the community fridge, setting up this website and organising events to bring everyone together to have some fun! Now we are planning to build a skatepark and community park for everyone to enjoy – please donate at our JustGiving page
